Here is a list of most common MetaPresence functions and options:
You can find these icons either on the screen or in the menu, depending on the device you are using.
Remember that some features may have been removed by the organizer.
Enables/disables your voice.
Enables/disables the ability of being heard by everyone (even by distant users and private area occupants).
Enables/disables your webcam stream. Once the button is activated, a box with the image of your webcam will appear above your avatar.
Hides/shows labels above other participants avatars.
Raises/lowers your avatar’s hand to draw attention.
Shows the list of gestures and reactions.
Activates/deactivates a light beam to indicate specific points in the environment.
Sets a time marker on analytics timeline.
Opens Easy Navigation menu. At the end of this page you can find a complete explanation.
Enters full screen mode, use to go back.
Takes a screen shot of your current view. You can find the taken screen shots in the Multimedia section of the menu.
Starts/stops to record the content displayed on the viewer used to screen share and the voices of the users connected. When starting the recording session a message will signal it to every user.
Shows the list of bots. Click on to recall an avatar bot to your current position.
Use it to switch to a mobile device or VR headset.
Opens settings window ( in VR version). At the end of this page you can find a complete explanation.
Shows users groups.
Opens menu that shows secondary functions.
Opens the basic instructions for moving your avatar.
Opens a section that displays a list of all participants, allowing various actions to be performed on them. More info at the end of this page.
Opens a section that allows you to send messages to all other participants. You can also share multimedia files by clicking the icon.
MULTIMEDIA
Opens a section where you can find all multimedia content shared and taken during the session (e.g. screenshots, documents).
QUIT
Ends current session. Use Leave to exit only, End meeting to close MetaMeeting for everybody.
Use the icon to perform specific actions towards a specific participant:
Chat privately with the user.
Automatically reach the user current location.
Send the invitation e-mail again.
This feature helps you navigate the environment without having to manually move your avatar. Once you choose a destination, your avatar will automatically move to the selected location.
Clicking the icon shows you a panel with the the following functions:
Go to next/previous location.
Return to the last location.
Shows lthe list of possible locations to go..
Here you can change input and output devices.
If you can't hear or talk during a metaverse session, probably the platform is using the wrong input/output audio device. Check it.
Meta Presence® proposes by default an optimized graphic quality, aimed at allowing smooth fruition even on less performing devices. If you encounter graphic problems you can always lower the quality in Quality settings section.
